Elizabeth Hurley Biography

Elizabeth Hurley wanted to become a dancer when she was a child, but she has accomplished so much more.

Hurley became well-known due to her association with fellow Brit Hugh Grant.

The revealing dress she wore when she accompanied him to the premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral created quite a stir.

Shortly after that, she and Hugh were hounded by the press when news broke of his arrest in the company of a certain streetwalker.

Hurley founded a film production house, Simian Films, with Hugh. She coproduced Extreme Measures in 1996 and Mickey Blue Eyes in 1999, both of which starred Hugh. Liz suits the role of executive, but we still want to see her in front of the camera.

Her acting career and public profile skyrocketed after her appearance in the first Austin Powers film in 1997.

Since then, she has appeared in about 10 more films and was ranked as the fourth greatest British film actress in the Orange Film Survey of 2001.
