Christina Aguilera biography

Born Christina Maria Aguilera on December 18, 1980, in Staten Island, New York.

The daughter of a military father and a musician mother, Aguilera appeared on Star Search at age 9 and was a cast member of the Mickey Mouse Club for two years before recording the hit duet "All I Wanna Do" in Japan with local pop star Keizo Nakanishi.

In 1998, the pop artist began her rapid ascent to stardom when she recorded "Reflection" for the soundtrack of Disney's Mulan. Her self-titled debut album followed shortly thereafter, with the single "Genie In A Bottle" becoming the biggest selling U.S. single of the year.

After winning a Grammy in 1999 for Best New Artist, Aguilera topped the charts again in January 2000 with "What A Girl Wants" and "Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You).” The savvy release of a Spanish collection of hits titled Mi Reflejo and a cover version of LaBelle's "Lady Marmalade" for the Moulin Rouge soundtrack kept the star in the limelight.

In 2002, Aguilera unveiled a controversial sexually charged image for her second studio album, Stripped. The album's first single, "Dirrty," drew similar controversy for its decidedly steamy music video.

In 2006, Aguilera appeared somewhat more subdued when she released her third studio album Back to Basics. She considered it to be a modern spin on the jazz, blues, and soul music from 1920s to the 1940s. Though one track, "Still Dirrty," indicated that she was not completely shedding her sexy image.

In late 2007, rumors started to swirl around Aguilera about a possible pregnancy. Paris Hilton leaked the news at a September party in Las Vegas, saying “congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world” to Aguilera, according to a report in People magazine. Despite this public declaration, Aguilera remained mum on the subject of whether or not she was pregnant.

Aguilera finally confirmed the rumors in early November that she and her husband of two years, music executive Jordan Bratman, were expecting their first child. The singer told Glamour's U.K. edition that her plans for New Year's Eve involve a new baby.

"That'll be about the time I enter into mommy hood so I'm hoping to have started a beautiful family with my husband!" Aguilera is quoted in a story posted on the magazine's Web site. Later that month, a very pregnant Aguilera modeled her baby bump on the cover of Marie Claire magazine.

The couple welcomed Max Liron Bratman on January 12, 2008. On the day of his birth, Aguilera posted a message on her website to her fans. Here is a part of that message, expressing their delight over their new addition: “Today is a very joyful and special day for Jordan and I as we welcome our first son into this world.”

The next month Aguilera made her first public appearance since Max’s arrival. To promote her new DVD Back to Basics: Live and Down Under (2008), she signed autographs at an electronics store in West Hollywood, California

Hollywood star Natalie Portman

I remember when she was young. She looked very nice even at age of 11.

Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman was born on June 9th, 1981 in Jerusalem, Israel, as the only child of a doctor father (from Israel) and an artist mother (from Cincinnati, Ohio), who also acts as Natalie's agent. She left Israel for Washington, DC, when she was still very young.

After a few more moves, her family finally settled in New York, where she still lives to this day. She graduated with honors, and her academic achievements allowed her to attend Harvard.

She was discovered by an agent in a pizza parlor at the age of 11. She was pushed towards a career in modeling but she decided that she would rather pursue a career in acting. She was featured in many live performances, but she made her powerful film debut in the movie Leon (1994) (aka "The Professional").

Following this role Natalie won roles in such films as Heat (1995), Beautiful Girls (1996), and Mars Attacks (1996).

It wasn't until 1999 that Natalie received worldwide fame as Queen Amidala in the highly anticipated US$431 million-grossing prequel Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999).

Afterwards, she starred in two critically acclaimed comedy dramas, Anywhere But Here (1999), Where the Heart is (2000), and Closer (2004/I), for which she received an Oscar nomination

Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba's father, who was in the Air Force, moved the family to Del Rio, Texas, later. Eventually, the family settled in southern California when Jessica Alba was nine.

She had always wanted to be an actress from the age of five. She took her first acting class at the age of 12. Shortly later, Jessica was signed by an agency.

In 1993, she made her movie debut in Camp Nowhere. Jessica Alba was originally hired for a short time but got lucky when one of the main actresses dropped out.

Jessica Alba , who had the same color hair as the actress, eagerly took over the spot. After her first movie, Jessica Alba appeared in two commercials for Nintendo and J.C. Penny and a few independent films. In 1994, she landed a reoccurring role in "The Secret World of Alex Mac." Jessica Alba played a snob who made life hard for the main character with magical powers.

Also in 1994, she landed the role of Maya for a pilot of "Flipper." Jessica Alba spent 1995 filming the first season of "Flipper" in Australia. Jessica Alba is a PADI-certified diver and the "Flipper" show allowed her to have fun and play with the dolphins. The success of the first season of "Flipper" lead to the filming of the second season, which Jessica also starred in. Jessica involvement in "Flipper" lasted from 1995-1997. Since "Flipper" Jessica has appeared in a number of television shows and movies.

In 1996, she appeared in Venus Rising as Young Eve. Also in 1996, Jessica Alba appeared in an episode of "Chicago Hope", as Maria. In 1997, Jessica appeared on the "Dini Petty Show", a Canadian talk show, and talked about her role in Flipper and her general acting career.

Jessica Alba began working on P.U.N.K.S., featuring Randy Quaid, in 1998. P.U.N.K.S. was just recently released on video in early January, 1999.

In 1998, she appeared in several TV shows for an episode or two. In early 1998, she appeared in "Brooklyn South", as Melissa. A few months later, Jessica Alba appeared in two episodes of "Beverly Hills 90210", as Leanne. And finally, she appeared in an episode of "Love Boat: The Next Wave."

In 1999 she appeared a huge number of magazines. Jessica Alba had a small role in Never Been Kissed which was released in the Spring. A month later Jessica Alba could be found with a larger role in Idle Hands.

Her two performances in those movies started a buzz in the entertainment industry. Many more magazines would come knocking on her door. Shortly after the release of those two movies, Jessica Alba landed the starring role in Paranoia. Jessica Alba finished filming Paranoia in June. The movie is in post-production now.

Shortly later Jessica Alba started working on what will potentially be her biggest work ever. Jessica Alba auditioned for the leading role in Dark Angel.

Jessica Alba caught the eye of James Cameron and will now star in the post anticipated TV show of 2000, Dark Angel. With the huge success of Dark Angel and its legion of fans, Jessica will no longer be a rising star, she will be among the Hollywood elite, a star.

She made a comeback in 2003 with the title role in Honey. In 2005 Jessica Alba appeared opposite Bruce Willis in the movie "Sin City", the down-and-dirty feature-film version of Frank Miller's popular graphic novels. Alba played Nancy, a stripper with a tortured past who's about as close to innocence as it gets in a grisly black-and-white world.
